Weaning age

Weaning is the age when primary nutrionally dependency on the mother ends and independent foraging begins to make a major contribution to the offspring’s energy requirements. This is rarely reported accurately and the precise measure used should be recorded in the weaning age definition (‘WA Defn.’) field. The options are given in order of preference:
