Kate's research looks to understand how evolutionary processes produce past, present and future global biodiversity patterns.
Kate's research group
works on a number of projects ranging from the evolution of echolocation in bats and its use in a global monitoring program, exploring the evolution of mammalian trait biodiversity (through YouTHERIA) and wildlife disease macroecology; investigating the interface of anthropogenic and wildlife processes to predict the future risk to humans across the globe.
Kate is a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of Zoology and Editor of Global Ecology and Biogeography.
